As some of the most famous fairytale stories start from working in a kitchen, so does ours. In 2014 three devoted souls started experimenting with different sparkling drink variations in their kitchen. They had the ambition to start their own company that would produce craft drinks from local apples. Fortunately, they were all industry professionals, and soon enough, they found their way out of the kitchen to a real factory, where they now produce over 100 000 liters of sparkling drink per year. But this is just the beginning of Öun Drinks' story. Öun Drinks is the first Estonian craft sparkling drink producer from Saaremaa. Saaremaa (also known as Ösel) is an idyllic island located in the Baltic Sea. Öun [pronounced like own] means an apple in Saaremaa dialect. As our name says, our products are made from fresh organic apples grown only in Estonian soil. We keep the added organic sugar to a minimum and never include any artificial additives. We know that Estonian apples are unique and that’s why we stand by their worth. Therefore, we can honestly say that our drinks are made with respect to nature, the roots of our island, and clients. Our product range is regularly growing - focusing on alcohol-free drinks. We value good taste and creating special holiday feeling, something you can enjoy with your whole family. Even though we are a medium-sized company, we still apply a small family business mentality to our work. We are very proud of each taste and product that we create. That is the key to our success and for producing award-winning drinks. But our plans for the future are not at all small. In five years, we want to be the largest Scandinavian craft drink producer with a sustainable mindset. To achieve it, we are growing our export markets and regularly producing new innovating organic products.
