Plaayaa.org aims to become a Foundation that will show, support, assist, fund and promote all initiatives that help cleaning the oceans, seas and beaches worldwide! There are currently so many beautiful initiatives that work hard on cleaning the plastic soup from the seas, that organize beach clean-ups, that develop new ways to recycle plastic from the oceans, that it is almost impossible to track them all. But, they are all worth following and all can use all the help they can get. Beaches are getting polluted more and more, and the oceans slowly move forward to a stage that there is actually more plastic then fish in them. A direct risk for humans is that the fish are starting to eat the plastic, and since we eat the fish, we end up with plastic inside our own bodies. And other animals suffer the same consequences. So it is time to act now! Plaayaa.org is a sister-organization of Plaayaa.com which will donate parts of its profits to plaayaa.org. Plaayaa.org will be managed by Diederik Engelkamp (who is also managing-partner of plaayaa.com), on a non-paid voluntary basis. Furthermore, other volunteers will be attracted to contribute. Also, part of the operating costs will be borne by plaayaa.com, which means that the largest part of the donations goes directly to the foundations / charities / good causes that already operate in this field, or who are just starting up. There will be some (minimized) founding- and operating costs for Plaayaa.org, like for instance establishing the foundation, and of course promoting it worldwide, that always needs funding too, but in the end, all actions taken by Plaayaa.org will benefit the cleaning of the beaches, oceans and seas.
