This included the City of Tartu, University of Tartu, Tartu Science Park, Tartu Biotechnology Park, Tartu Centre for Creative Industries, Tartu Business Advisory Services, Contriber Ventures, Ole Rohkem and active startups in Tartu. Not long later, the first startup hubs we're created – sTARTUp Hub and SPARK Hub. With the community becoming more active, the community was named sTARTUp since the word startup includes the name of the city (TARTU).
